Although modern techniques have been gradually applied in practice, it is still a long time before these techniques can have the same initial investment and cost as traditional methods, which is already very cost-optimized. Responding to market demand, in addition to always investing in the development of new methods, with shorter analysis times and more accurate results, Eurofins has continuously improved the analytical quality of traditional methods.

Advantages and development expectations

Each traditional method has its advantages and disadvantages, the quality improvement aims to enhance the advantages and minimize the disadvantages of each method. In this situation, Eurofins mainly focuses on the surface inoculation method, one of the most commonly performed methods today in the Microbiology laboratory.

With the investment in a synchronized system for the preparation of agar media and automatic distribution of the medium to sterile petri dishes, the quality of the medium will be improved. The amount of medium contained in each disc will be guaranteed to be uniform and in accordance with the provisions of each standard. In addition to saving labor, the application of the environment preparation and distribution system also makes it easier and more convenient to retrieve operational data with all information stored on the system; Each disc is assigned a specified identification code.

For the inoculation step, an automatic dilution and inoculation system is also put into operation at the same time, ensuring an enhanced analytical quality of the surface spread method. With this system, the implantation process is almost closed and operated entirely by machine, limiting human errors if any, besides, limiting the number of consumables used compared to the old method. Reduces costs and waste into the environment.
