Eurofins to acquire Genetic Testing Service JSC and enter the clinical genetic testing market in Vietnam
On February 9, Genetic Testing Services Joint Stock Company (GENTIS) officially announced its joining as a member of Eurofins Group - the world's largest medical group, becoming a foreign-invested enterprise.

The signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between GENTIS and Eurofins Group was solemnly held at the headquarters of GENTIS Hanoi with the participation of representatives of the two sides: Mr. Do Manh Ha - General Director of GENTIS. Mr. Nguyen Nam Thanh - Director of Eurofins in Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines; Mr. Nguyen Anh Vu - Director of M&A, Southeast Asia and members of the Board of Directors of the two sides.
The two sides signed cooperation documents and officially announced Gentis's joining as a member of Eurofins Group, becoming a foreign-invested medical enterprise. This is one of the strategic steps of GENTIS in the development phase to become a foreign-invested enterprise and build a prestigious multinational brand in the field of testing. By joining a member of Eurofins Group, GENTIS promises to further develop, expand its scope of activities in the international arena and bring high-quality testing services closer to the people of the country.

At the ceremony, new members of the Board of Directors were also elected. In which, Mr. Nguyen Nam Thanh was elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of GENTIS, the remaining members of the Board of Directors include Mr. Do Manh Ha, Mr. Hoang Duc Hung, Mr. Ngo Ba Binh, Ms. Jessica Chua.
Eurofins of significant support that specialized genetic testing to critical healthcare needs such as the detection of cancers, the detection of chromosomal disorders during pregnancy, and the genetic disorders, is the growth opportunity. This acquisition will accelerate Eurofins’ strategy to expand further into these markets and expand its presence in South East Asia more broadly. Gentis has a highly successful test and product menu, which will benefit from the Eurofins network's broad menu of genetic and genomic tests and its access to additional markets.
