Commission regulation (EU) 2024/891
Commission regulation (EU) 2024/891 mendi Annexes II and V to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards maximum residue levels for bifenazate in or on certain products.
The EU will apply new MRL of bifenazate on agricultural products. According to the EU, as bifenazate-based plant protection products are only approved to be used in non-edible crops, the lowering of the MRL for this substance in Annex II of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 and it is appropriate to list them in Appendix V (group of active ingredients to which the default MRL applies). Depending on the sample matrix, the MRL threshold will be adjusted according to the method's quantitative limit. Thus, the MRL threshold of bifenazate has changed quite significantly in a much stricter direction than before.
This regulation has a date of effect of 14/04/2024.
