On 08 October 2024 according to EU Regulation: (EU) 2024/2619 relating to maximum residue levels for Fosetyl, Phosphonic acid and its salts expressed as phosphonic acid in or on certain products:

For Fosetyl, Potassium phosphonate and Disodium phosphonate, maximum residue levels are specified in Part A of Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005. Since these three active substances degrade to Phosphonic acid, it is appropriate to assess their residues together. It is proposed to change the residue definition for enforcement purposes for the three active substances from “Fosetyl-Al (sum of fosetyl, phosphonic acid and their salts, expressed as fosetyl” to “Phosphonic acid and its salts, expressed as phosphonic acid” and to propose new MRLs based on that residue definition.

For the active substance Flonicamid, the maximum residue levels are specified in Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005. For the active substances Clopyralid and Difenoconazole, the MRLs are specified in Part A of Annex III.
For Chitosan, Fat distillation residues, Hydrolysed proteins, and Lavandulyl senecioate, no specific MRLs are specified and they are not included in Annex IV of that Regulation. Therefore, the default value of 0.01ppm applies to these substances.

Amendments to MRLs for Pesticides and Veterinary Drugs in Food.

On 30 September 2024, the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) issued a Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds.

In this notice, MPI establishes a new maximum residue level (MRL) for the active ingredient Penflufen and amends the MRL for Piperonyl butoxide, outlining these maximum residue levels (MRLs). The Food Notice establishes a new MRL for Penflufen and amends the MRL for Piperonyl butoxide. Some examples of MRL changes are in the table below:
