What is Hexaconazole?

Hexaconazole is a fungicide used to control many fungi including Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes, two of the many fungi that occur in abundance on crops.

Hexaconazole has the ability to control powdery mildew, powdery mildew disease, scab fungal disease, and rust of grapes or apple fruit: pome fruit by impeding the synthesis of ergosterol, inhibiting steroid demethylation in the organism. thereby helping to control fungus in vegetables and grains; control brown spot, anthracnose and blight in rice. With this property, people often use Hexaconazole to prepare insecticides.

However, if hexaconazole is used excessively, not well controlled, leading to pesticide residues, it will be very dangerous, affecting both plants, humans and animals.

Hexaconazole for agricultural use

The toxicity of Hexaconazole is active against aquatic life, quail, fish and a wide variety of other organisms that have not yet been fully tested. Hexaconazole is readily excreted by mammals without retention in organs or tissues.

Hexaconazole exerts toxicity through oral, dermal, and tracheal exposure, with cumulative and long-term residual effects.

The chemical decomposition of Hexaconazole is stable for at least 6 years at ambient temperature.
