Food packaging testing?

  • Food packaging is an item that comes in direct contact with food, during use can cause toxic reactions to temperature, food or improper storage process, adversely affect user health
  • According to State regulations, to prevent the risk of chemical poisoning or food poisoning that comes from the accumulation of substances in food packaging, the Ministry of Health has requested Domestic and imported packaging business enterprises must conduct food packaging tests to announce product quality.

National technical regulations on food packaging testing

  • National technical regulations on hygiene and safety for packaging and tools that come in direct contact with metal food are specified in QCVN 12-3: 2011 / BYT
  • National technical regulations on hygiene and safety for packaging and tools directly contacting with rubber food are stipulated in QCVN 12-2: 2011 / BYT
  • National technical regulations on hygiene and safety for packaging and tools that come in direct contact with synthetic plastic food are specified in QCVN 12-1: 2011 / BYT
  • National technical regulations on hygiene and safety for packaging and tools that come in direct contact with glass and ceramic food are specified in QCVN 12-4: 2015 / BYT.

Depending on different materials, there will be different national technical standards to assess food packaging testing
